| Rebates and subsidies for going electric Did you know that you could access thousands of dollars’ worth of subsidies to help you electrify your home? Check out our new webpage to find out: - Types of rebates available
- Tips to maximise your savings
- Finance options.
STCs will reduce at the start of January, so it's a great time to install solar, battery and heat-pump hot water to maximise discounts. Remember—your installer should apply any rebates as a discount on your quote. This means you don’t have to claim them later—they come straight off your invoice. |

| Go electric and save money, time and hassle Drawing on our Go Electric resources, Reservoir resident Emily has converted her home into an all-electric, gas-free home over the last few years. ‘I've estimated that the work we've done saves us around $2000 on our energy bills per year!’ says Emily. She makes the most of free energy from the sun from her rooftop solar during the day with before electricity prices peak in the evening. Her heat-pump hot water is timed to reheat at midday, and she aims to run a load of dishes or laundry when the sun is shining. On hot summer days she runs the air-con to pre-cool the house before the afternoon heat. You can hear Emily talk about her electrification journey at Preston Library on Thursday 13 November – register now. |
